Make Office Hours Clear Across Time Zones
Document business hours, exceptions, time zones, structured facts, and ownership for website delivery.

**Published: September 9, 2026**
Business hours become unreliable when a design file contains local shorthand but the website serves people elsewhere. The handoff should identify whose clock governs the promise.
Capture the source facts
Record location, named time zone, weekly hours, appointment rules, holidays, seasonal exceptions, and the operational owner. Separate office access, phone coverage, and service delivery when their schedules differ.
Write for the audience
Use clear day ranges and indicate the time zone where ambiguity is possible. Avoid promising that a message will be answered immediately just because an office is open. Dynamic local conversion needs an explicit source and fallback.
Check every representation
Compare visible hours across contact pages, footer, location listings, structured data, and third-party profiles. Test narrow layouts and assistive reading order. Set a review date so last year's holiday notice does not become permanent content.
